Jacky Chan Yik Kei

Jacky Yik Kei Chan is a graduate in drama and theatre arts and has awarded a scholarship for his postgraduate study in arts administration and cultural policy from Goldsmiths, University of London. He is now assistant to artistic director in Tang Shu-wing Theatre Studio and member of theatre group Fiesta Space and Inspire Workshop. His directed work, Love is Colder than Death Deconstructed was nominated as Best Director in The Hong Kong Theatre Libre by 101arts.net in 2016.
 

Chan is an actor during his years in London and Hong Kong. He acted in several school productions such as Wasteland, Wish me Well and Get Together. He also performed in the UEFA Champions League Opening Ceremony at Wembley in 2011, an ultra football competition in Europe. His recent involvement in drama productions includes Deadman’s Cellphone, Our Death Won't Hurt Any Body (Grec Festival Barcelona), Macbeth (Shanghai, Wuhan, Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Shenzhen, The Globe Neuss Shakespeare Festival, Sibiu International Theatre Festival, Berlin, Vienna, Warsaw, Indijia, Tang Shu Wing Theatre Studio), LIES (Ontroerend Goed & Hong Kong Arts Festival),  Kassandra - oder die Welt als Ende der Vorstellung, Waking Dreams in 1984 (On & On Theatre Workshop), My Red Tower, Death in Hong Kong (Fiesta Space), Jacklam's 20th Anniversary, Jacklam always (Inspire Workshop), Belief Soars (Re-run) (Stage 64) and An Angel’s Gift (Cinematic Theatre).
 

His recent creation includes The Help (Fiesta Space), The Impossibility of Offending the Audience, Love is Colder than Death Deconstructed (Macau BOK Festival, Hong Kong) (Inspire Workshop).
